Gather & Gather celebrates double success at Foodservice Cateys 2019

The Gather & Gather team were given double cause to celebrate at the Foodservice Cateys Awards 2019. Andrea Fawcett was named Chef Manager of the Year while the entire team scooped the coveted title Business & Industry Caterer of the Year.

Now in its seventh year, the Foodservice Cateys recognises individuals, teams and businesses shaping the foodservice industry. The winners were announced at a gala dinner at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, which was attended by Gather & Gather and CH&CO colleagues.

Gather & Gather won Business & Industry Caterer of the Year for its innovative approach to workplace catering, including its investment in people through the chef academy, the launch of its own unique coffee from Peru, Camino, and its focus on The Gathered Table and regional larders.

The Gathered Table is a think-tank of cutting-edge industry experts at the forefront of what’s hot in food, drink, tech, nutrition, sustainability and creative design. They gather together to predict and share trends,
re-imagine workplace dining and help create healthier and more productive teams.  The regional larders were born out of The Gathered Table and are a collection of bespoke and unique local suppliers that provide truly fantastic quality produce and help deliver Gather & Gather’s food story of connecting customers to brilliant on trend food and drink.  Both The Gathered Table and the regional larders feed back into the business, for example through masterclasses and training sessions for the chef academy.

Andrea Fawcett’s enthusiasm and drive has, amongst other things, seen her reduce costs, increase spend per head, initiate a Healthy Eating plan, and lead the development of her team. Her expertise, energy and leadership secured her the well-deserved accolade of Chef Manager of the Year.
